MEET AUDREY

The most important step you can take is the first. Welcome.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Audrey Harvie.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), born in Toronto, Ontario, on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. I welcome individuals of all cultural identities and backgrounds and believe that every person’s story deserves to be heard and held with care.

My work focuses on supporting individuals who feel insecure in themselves and their relationships, often manifesting as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, identity confusion, people-pleasing, perfectionism, conflict, or disconnection. These experiences can point to something deeper, such as unresolved relational trauma or wounds. In our work together, I will provide a safe, supportive, and professional space where we will explore your background, identify your current patterns, and gently begin to shift the ones that no longer serve you. My hope is that you’ll leave therapy feeling more grounded in yourself, more connected to others, and more confident in navigating life’s challenges.

While my primary approach is Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), I also draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), tailored to your unique needs, values, and strengths.

Outside of the sessions, you can often find me on the tennis court with my partner or unwinding at home with my two very sleepy English Bulldogs.

Therapy with me is —

  • Therapy with me is deeply relational. I believe healing happens when you feel safe enough to show up authentically, and that begins with a secure connection.

  • I seek to understand how the different aspects of your identity overlap and impact your experience. I’m committed to integrating this understanding into our work together.

  • Imagination, analogies, humour, and other unique approaches are incorporated into therapy to foster playful yet meaningful exploration and expression of your emotional experiences.

  • I am committed to honouring your inherent dignity and supporting your personal agency. Your right to self-determination is central to our work together.

It’s time you invested in yourself.
